I'm glad you are ok!! After reading a lot about both kits available, I opted to go with the G Force lift. So far, no issues. I just didn't feel comfortable with those brackets that Daystar uses...
I too would like to know where the adjustment on the forward trailing arm is located. It this on the rear end?
I don't have any pictures but I will try to describe it. - Disclaimer, I am not a mechanic, only a weekend warrior. Here's a link to wikipedia's definition of a trailing arm; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trailing_arm The description might confuse you but the pics might help. When you look under the rear you will see, going to each wheel, an axel - in front of it and to the rear of it you will see a bar (arm). Looking at where these bars connect to the chassis (actually, the crossmember) the one to the rear has a camber bolt (I don't know if that's the actual name for the bolt, it's what I've always called it - google 'camber bolt' and you'll see. When mounted, the best way to describe it is that the bolt isn't centered in the washer). Anyway, you're mechanic will see this immediately and know it's an adjustment point. The arm to the front of the rear axle, however, appears to just be a normal bolt. Your'e mechanic might not realize it's adjustable (my Jeep dealer missed it) But it is, the hole it goes thru isn't a hole but an oval. The square washer hides this fact. When you loosen the bolt you can slide the arm's pivot point in and out. Between the two arms you can adjust toe and camber, and get them into spec with the 1.5" Daystar lift. Tell you're mechanic that for the rear, he/she has two adjustment points - and don't take no for an answer. Hope this helps. If anyone has any pics or can clarify my rambling - please post.
It really sucks that you had an older bracket that was just tack welded on and that it broke on you. That kind of shit really is inexcusable. I hope that Daystar is quick to help you out and it'd be great if you can post an update on things go. The rear skid plate trim is hardly what I would call an issue. Of course, I've been working on Jeeps of all makes and models for a very long time and I suppose because of it, it's not even something I could begin to bat an eye at. Regarding the sway bar links, I'm just not sure what you or others are referring to as I've not had this problem or at least, not yet. As far as the alignment goes, I believe this has been addressed by tyod.

It wasn't one of the ones with just tack welds, it had the 1" welds on the sides, welds that Daystar said were fine. EnderAz had the exact same problem. It was nice for you that they sent you new brackets with welds all the way around without you having a problem or requesting them, but they should have sent them to every single person who had purchased this lift.
I have got 2 sets from them, I had 1 that was tack welded, the second set had the 1"welds. Then they s3nt me the black ones
I guess I missed that part and I agree, everyone should have gotten the brackets with the welds that go all the way around.
Did either of your 2 previous brackets break or did you just ask for the newest ones because you became aware of them?
First ones were before install, one was spot welded, the others I asked because I was aware of the issue

I think this is because the lift is higher than the G-force lift, so it must extend the bracket much more.
Can i ask you what happened when this happened? Did the tire become sideways or bend uncontrollably, I'm sorry this happened to you! I guess i'm just curious if it was somewhat controlled? Daystar does seem like an honest company who would take responsibility if it caused any major damage, I hope they took care of you.
Just my 2 cents I'm not an owner yet missed out on my order one due to medical problems. If you were going threw the trouble of installing a lift. And the reason for the disconnect of the sway bar was articulate on the trails. Why not drill a hole put a castle nut and pin it like a axle nut. Just my 2 cents
Hello, I bought a renegade lift kit. And here in this formuum several members answered me that there is a hint of extra screws for the rear alignment. I bought it on the Titan Engines e-bay with Dave. I questioned him, and he told me to get in touch with DayStar. I would appreciate the help. I live in Brazil and the mechanics do not speak English. Sway Bar Links Coming Loose Alignment Issue I've had both the sway bar issue and been told the alignment will be slightly out unless the longer camber screws were installed The alignment issue was so slight it was not going to be an issue with proper tire rotation. I was subsequently hit broadside in the rear rim and many components in the rear drive where replaced. The alignment came into spec after that. Go figure. The sway bar came loose about a month after the kit was installed. The shop tightened it up and it hasn't recurred in about 9 months now.
Could someone tell me if the alignment factory values remain the same after kit installation? Or do you need new values?
my lift came with the 1“ welding....i know they said it was ok but the welding looked really tiny so i welded by myself (and painted black) no sway bar or allignment issueas at all
I wonder if the values (numbers) for alignment and changeover are the same at the factory after installation of the lift?
