I talked to a jeep out fitting place nearby and discussed putting the Cooper Discoverer STT Pro in a 255/75/17 on my renegade with 1.5" spacers and a daystar lift kit. I am pretty pumped about doing the mod because I think the tires are too skinny and look sucked up in the wheel wells with the stock tires. Going to wait until I need to get new tires but I live on gravel so don't think that will be to terribly long. Still researching on the mod but when I get it done I will try and remember to post pics.
So far- no noticeable effect. But- with the taller tires the speedo and odometer are under-indicating by a few percent... so maybe we lost 1-2mpg Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
About $1300 total. $1100 from eBay (which turned out to be a guy on here) to get wheels, tires, daystar lift kit, and spacers. The spacers were wrong. The spacers that worked were BORA from Motorsport-tech.com. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Sick. I'm going to need to invest in this for sure! It really adds some much needed beef to the Renegades look. When you got the spacers, did you get them in a different bolt pattern or are those rims available in 5x110?
The rims I have are now 5x110. They have been redrilled though. I don't know by who. I did all the work myself (I'm a tech) not sure how much someone would charge for a job like this. It's not bad though but for sure needs a good alignment tech after. Not someone that just does "toe and go".
