35K, i have trans issues on occasions, but it resets with a restart like an old Windows 98 PC. I suspect its a sensor problem, not really mechanical. Overall its been a decent light duty off road/ on road vehicle. Jeep are problem prone, this one os no different. Its fun to drive though. It handles terrible without its traction control system enabled, which is coupled to to the parking break and the dynamic processing that controls the rear differential, so you lose all 3 at once.

I agree the transmission and fuel mileage is crap, I’ll be trading mine in and won’t ever purchase another Chrysler product.

Is it Fiat or Chrysler that's shit? I think it's more Fiat..

Ram's and Wranglers are quality vehicles. Grand Cherokees are pretty nice too.

The little renegade is as cheap as Jeep gets, we should all keep our expectations in check.

Jeep/Chrysler customer care has been good and fair to me so far, so that's worth something.

For those who haven't seen the other thread regarding the loss of accelerator pedal some of us have been having...

We got off the phone with FCA, and they are saying the Renegade is safe even though they didn't fix it. The reason we to it in was that I lost the accelerator pedal for 5 seconds and cruise control completely until I was able to fight through traffic, pull over, and restart the car. I was only going 30 mph on a good asphalt road when I drove over a sewer manhole cover (engineered to be driven over).

Since the dealership service department drove the Renegade for a whole 16 miles and couldn't replicate the issue, they say there is no problem with it.

The best part was when they said the vehicle didn't throw any codes. The fact that I have photos of the dash warning lights didn't give them any cause for concern. Seriously.

It amazes me that a vehicle labeled as a 4x4 cannot handle safely driving on a paved street at 30 mph.

It seems my sense of self preservation is much greater than FCAs.

In addition to the electronic issues, the dealership had to replace the window seal 3 times since two of the new ones were defective.

They ended up glueing the new seal in place and leaving residue on the outside of the seal and the paint.
