    Should have cut the whole profile out and then bent it instead of welding each section... looks pretty good though. Is that steel or aluminum (looks like steel)? If so how heavy is it?

    I do not have access to a break, so welding was my only option. Yes it is steel, 1/4" diamond plate. I think about 35 or so lbs. Should finish it this weekend.....I hope anyway. 2 reasons for steel over aluminum, much more durable, access. We didn't have any aluminum plate at work. Plus I'm hoping that in the event of a deer strike, it will stand it's ground. Lots of deer here.

    Dang, that's some thick/heavy stuff... Yea, pro's and con's to steel vs aluminum. Each have their purpose. Good luck with the project.
