So, after a few weeks with my new Trailhawk, I'm just starting to wonder if everyone Estimated Miles Per Gal/ Fuel Efficiency screen jumps all over the place? I understand that it will vary based on slope, wind, condition of road, & driving conditions, but mine will jump to an estimated 99 miles a gal, then back to something like 20 miles per gal. Just wondering if this is just the threshold for this gauge, or if mine is wonky. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
If it's at the top/center, it is the average mpg at that moment. As a result, it will jump around as you observed. To the left, that number mpg will be the average for the trip and won't change as frequently.
