Hi all, I'm new to this so I'll try to be brief. My car isn't driven much, but it seems that every time I take him for a spin, there's something new and wacky going on. 1. Everything in EVIC suddenly changed into Italian. Temp was in Celsius. After searching the web, I saw it'd happened to others, and had to change to Spanish, then French, then back to English to clear problem. 2. Got in after a Sunday afternoon grocery store run; car wouldn't start. It told me all systems were unavailable, lit up w/idiot lights and indicator pointers spun up and down but no-go. Had to get a jump from the Firestone in the shopping center. Took it to the dealer, they said no error messages were found, but they tightened the battery cables. Now I'm afraid I'll get stranded so I stick close to home. 3. This weekend, I got a message on the radio, saying there was a software update that I needed to install. I had to keep the ignition on for 15-20min for the download, and then I was advised the install would take up to 50min, but I could turn off car and exit. Now, the VR doesn't recognize any names although they're all listed in the phonebook. If I dial from the list, any recording comes back in Spanish and my horn sounds after I lock my doors either with the fob or with the door button. There's only 5K miles on this guy, and he seems pretty troubled! Anybody have similar issues?
