    Hey all,

i purchased my renegade sport (fwd, 6spd) a couple weeks ago and am considering lowering it. Anyone here have any insight on which springs work best, etc? madness doesn't even list the amount of drop on their springs.

    cheers,

    joel

The true blasphemy is calling a front wheel drive transverse engine car a jeep ;)

I say I'd like to but I never would. I can imagine that it would look great. Lifted or lowered I don't think you can go wrong.

Most postal jeeps were 2wd only and loads and loads of models were available in 2wd, so it's not exactly unprecedented.

If you want to lower a Renegade, it would probably look like this: 220px-06-Scion-xB.jpg

This is obviously a photoshop but I think it looks pretty good. I wouldn't be against it in the future. Pair that with some mudflaps, straight pipes and a tune and it could be a blast.

Reputation? I already bought a mall rated "jeep" what's left to ruin? Might as well make it handle less like a cowboy boot on a wet floor ;-)

I know it all comes down to personal preference, and I'm sure there are folks out there that love this look, but I hate this so much. Just doesn't look right to me at all. It's a Jeep, not a JDM tuner-mobile!

Not a huge fan of JDM myself, but I see where you're coming from. If I wanted a down-and-dirty off-roader I would've gotten a wrangler.

Since it's an Italian made car, I like to look at it as a rally-mobile. :)
