Questions. Test drove a new 17 Trailhawk. Had my eyes on them for awhile now. Well it is a sweet spot now with all the incentives and rebates going on. I did like it. Loaded. Cold weather/navi. No my sky. Bottom line is to current owners, how do you like the Renegade so far? Pros/Cons/Issues? I had them run the numbers, and they are looking good.

I have a 2015 Renegade Latitude with 50,500+ miles on it, no major issues at this point. Mostly routine maintenance, had the radio replaced but it turned out to be junk speakers. Replacement speakers are fine. There was a defect on the inside passenger door trim that was replaced at time of purchase. It runs great, handles nice, is a tank in the snow and it is fun to drive. Lifetime avg mpg is 27-28, highest was on a long drive, 33 mpg. I understand the TH gets a little less. No My Sky, had enough of cars with holes in the roof, they all leak at some point and can be expensive to fix out of warranty.

Pros - fun to drive, decent gas mileage, great in snow, good on the beach, solid no rattles or squeaks, well put together, nice paint job, excellent heater and air conditioner. Wiper blades lasted a full 2 years, still streak free but split. Powerful heater fan.

Cons - SMALL GAS TANK, center vents on dash could work better, could use a little more storage. Not very good tires from the factory, I had Continentals that barely made 30k before being replaced. TH has different brand of tire so not sure if it is an issue for them. No spare from the factory on my Latitude. Check with dealer about a spare on the TH, I think they may come with one, not sure but it wouldn't hurt to ask. I wasn't told it didn't have a spare when I bought the Latitude so I had to buy one.

I would buy another Renegade, probably a TH.

Hope this helps, good luck with your decision.

Thank you for the info. Everything is in place. Just have to decide. Trading a 12 Nissan Xterra. Great deal and currently offering 5,ooo off the renegade. Some have told me about the questionable reliability of the Renegade?

There is no question that there have been some reliability issues with the Renegade. People have the same type reliability problems with the Ford Focus which has been out for many, many years. I had a Focus prior to the Renegade and belonged to a Focus forum like this one. Same type of praise and complaints. My personal experience with the Renegade has been good, hopefully you will get more replies that will help you decide what to do one way or the other. My Latitude is pretty basic, automatic, Uconnect 5.0, my build date is April 2015, very early. There is a lot of info on this forum and others.
