Which spacers did you end up ordering? If you got the ones that most people are getting, the ones that just come with longer studs, you won't have this problem. Granted, I personally would NEVER run a wheel spacer that doesn't bolt up to the axle and then the wheel to it as they are dangerous. As far as aftermarket wheels go, I would imagine that some of the aluminum ones will have them but unless you can get the manufacturer to send you a pic, it'd be hard to say for sure. Also, aluminum wheels tend to be thicker and you might STILL have issues with the front calipers making contact with inner surface.

Okay, these spacers just get sandwiched between your axles and wheels and then are secured in place with longer lug bolts. You won't have the issues I had and posted about in this thread. I do see they have an extra feature, some kind of bolt that I can only assume helps to secure the spacer to the axle and maybe that'll be enough to keep them safe but, I typically avoid spacers like this.

Yup, those would be them. You do need to be aware that they will only work with factory wheels or you will need to get low profile lug bolts.

Thanks as always! I'm sticking with the factory wheels so no problems there. Also, I think you were right about the little Toaster Jeep being a gateway -- just bought my first torque wrench and ratchet... :D (Although I'll probably still have a professional do the initial install). When I finally get this thing on some trails I'll send pics...

Thanks for the write up Eddie. Got mine on and couldn't be happier. By far the best bang for your buck and super awsome mod. It actually looks like a jeep and I don't get blown around on the highway now :)

Would the 1.25 inch wheel spacer work on factory wheels?

What are the 1.25 spacers do for the vehicle.

The 1.25 will work on stock wheels but not necessary. Those are more for aftermarket wheels. Our wheels have cavities on the back of the wheel so the lugs can fit in them on the 1" spacers, allowing for a flush mount. If you were to use the 1" on aftermarket wheels that don't have the cavities on the back of the wheels like our Stock ones have, you won't get a flush mount since the lugs sick or past the spacer. That's why you would want the 1.25" so the lugs would be flush.

Thank you! I only asked because I'm not sure if the 1in would also fit on to my spare wheel which is a steelie from a Dodge Dart with a offset of 41mm

If the back of the steel wheel doesn't have these holes then it won't work.

I believe it doesn't but I'll have to double check. So would my best bet be the 1.25?

If your spare doesn't have those and you want to be able to use your spare then yes, go with the 1.25"
