Mine are the same.. I only notice noise after I turn the car off... Nothing major though!

I did attach Canbus adapters. I have gotten a couple errors, but they are from the DRL's. I'm pretty sure it's because I have the bulb in backwards. I just haven't took the time to turn it back around. All the wires for fairly well though. Better than I expected.

Does putting in new headlights void the warranty?

As far as I know, not if they are plug in play, but if they requires rewirering then yes.

Looks great. Can you share the exact bulbs you purchased?

From the link in this thread, for the headlights looks like the H13

    What about the others? Thanks!

Hey everyone! This was an awesome write up, thank you WAL! Just wondering if anyone else who used the OPT7 bulbs has any flashing/flickering issues with their headlights when the car has power but the lights are not on? My headlights blink when I lock and unlock the car (and I have the setting OFF for headlights to turn on or stay on when the lock/unlock buttons are pushed), or open the door, or after I shut the car off and walk away. They do this for several minutes. I also noticed in the reflection of a tailgate of the truck in front of me at dusk that they were doing it while I was driving around with just the DRL on, and in the evening it's noticeable to other drivers and I'm worried if I'm ever at an intersection facing a cop, they might pull me over and give me crap about aftermarket lights. I am also using the iJDMTOY LED DRLs, no issues with them except I've noticed that when I turn them on manually, they are not as bright as if I turn the DRL setting on, and leave the light dial to OFF.

Has anyone ever been pulled over for having the LED's in? I keep hearing that HID's are kinda not really legal? I'm in Maryland and just wondering if police officers will go as far as pulling you over for something this small. I don't know if this is considered a stupid question, just wondering if I should worry about catching any flack for having them. Thanks, great write up! Very informative.

Not that I know of. So long as you have your headlights adjusted properly, you shouldn't have any problems with LED's. HID's are a different matter all together, they are crazy bright to oncoming traffic.

Hate to bump an old thread but I just installed these opt7 lights. They work great but I do have a beacon effect when the lights are off. It's slight but kinda annoying and I'm afraid it might drain the battery.

Any idea on what's causing this and how to fix?

There's just a charge still being held in the lights. It won't effect your battery and even if it could, it's just an LED with a tiny draw.

Very weird, I haven't had that issue with mine. But as far as I know the great thing about leds is they take very little power to run, so I think having a slight glow when off wouldn't drain the battery. My DRLs do that but ship off after 10 min or so.

I've had mine in since August, and I have not had any battery issues. Furthermore, just like my LED reverse lights and LED DRL that stay on faintly for a few minutes, the blinking stops after awhile. They DO blink while you are driving or not if the headlights are not switched to ON. My only concern is driving during the day without them on and the blinking catches the attention of a cop. It hasn't happened yet to me, and I'm pretty confident it wouldn't result in a ticket, but still.
