Just read the following article on Allpar this morning and for those of you who've experienced hard shifting problems after a visit to the dealership, a missing PROXI alignment might be the cause. See below:

Would this cause it to hesitate when starting from a stop or not be able to find the right gear and almost sputtering as you complete a corner taking 80' before it starts to run correctly

Well I have finally convinced FCA to buy or replace (have not decided )my Renegade TH back. It has been in the shop for a month and they were unable to fix the transfer case. If anybody has major problems I will be willing to help out with my horrific expericnce with my renegade in the year I have had it. It all has seemed to be electronic.

Not sure what your issues were but I am close to having to go with the lemon law. Summer is close, heats back, and so are the problems. I had the pedal mashed to the floor on a 10° grade doing 1 mph and no response from the motor, still at normal idle...

Finally got them to do the Proxi alignment and I haven't had an issue driving back and forth to work the last 2 days. Hope it took care of things

Aha! This answers my question on why the last set of flashes made it worse

My problems would start after I driven across town and stopped somewhere to get gas or something to eat and drink. When I start back up it would randomly not respond leaving me idling out into traffic. It might lose power on hills on the trail. It's been about a week now and I haven't had any issues. I took it to the coves at the lake, a few dirt roads and hills. I picked one of the steeper hill to shut it down for 5-10 minutes then start it up and see if anything happened. I did a slow crawl up the hill, never lost power and made it to the top. Right now it's working great. They didn't list anything else they did so it seems the Proxi alignment was the answer. It's not so much they skip it, when they bring it up on the computer it says it doesn't need it. I watched him do a quick learn and brought up the Proxi alignment, with it saying it was not needed, he didn't do it.

Thanks for the details. Sounds encouraging. I will just remember, it may be necessary to educate my service guy. Thanks!!
