I think you will have to paint them, here’s my alteration. I dropped my key and the lower third button panel came of, it has a button in it that unlocks the trunk!
There's an interesting variation on a key fob cover available on Amazon and perhaps other places. You can pick from several colors: https://www.amazon.com/KMT-Silicone...52498&sr=8-7&keywords=jeep+renegade+key+cover For those of you who have enabled the "top secret remote hatch release" function, this cover has the advantage of showing the proper button icon for the blank button (see arrow). The downside is that it makes a bulky key fob even bulkier. And the fact that it's a silicone material makes it a bit "grabby" when trying to get the keys out of a tight pocket.
