2015 Renegade bought May 1st. Currently with 18,900 miles.

Off the bat paint on the hood was defective. Warrantied but the dealer had crap first attempt. Total time in shop 7 days.

About a month in after buying complained about tranny shifting issues. The reflashed it. The refreshed it again during the hood painting.

Next, lost heat around Sept 1st. Said it was a bleeder valve. Said it was fixed. Also refreshed tranny with update. Hea was fixed. H

Last week, the check engine light went on and lost 4w drive capability. Told dealer and made appointment. While waiting for next avail appt. I lost the heat AGAIN!

I have complained about rough idle since te get go and was told it was the way the motor was designed to have a lean idle. Never bought into it.

Dealer called today. Transmission is toast and the #2 cylinder is cracked. Explains the crap idle, weird engine noise, horrible shifting and subpar gas mileage. I was a fool to trade in Rubi.

Thoughts? At this point I pretty much want them to buy it back!!!. If you look at the undercoating it a undercoating it looks cheap as hell.

Wow, that really sucks. I have just under 9,000 miles on my Renegade and so far, I only really have the transmission shifting issue and passenger side sun visor that I can't get to stop rattling. Is your dealership at least helping you out with a loaner vehicle while they're working on your Renegade?

Yes - I have had a loaner. Expected time to get tranny and engine replaced and car back to me is Dec. 14th . I doubt it will happen. I'm also worried about them getting an engine and tranny swap right( new car for the mechanic) I dropped the car off Nov. 25th. If it gets fixed in time that will make it in shop for a total of a month since owning it. I have just started talking to Jeep as it my frustration was growing . Originally it was like FCA level. The bumped me up a service tier for my problems. The Jeep customer service said they could make concessions depending on the outcome of my problems. I already got FCA to give me free oil and tire rotation for the paint fiasco. I'm just rather worried for the long haul the car is not going to hold up and I don't want to be in the shop once a month. Most likely going back to a US made Wrangler. I love the Renegade interior but....hoping the buy back the car.
