We are having an issue with our MySky top. If any water gets on the top, whether from rain or from washing, it will stay in the "tracks" of the MySky and will come streaming out when you come to a stop. So unless you are SURE there is no water up there you'd better not roll down the front windows unless you want to get wet. We took the Renegade to the dealer to have them look at the drains to find out why they don't drain. They called me back to say there are no drains on the Renegade.

Is this for real?! They actually designed a sliding top that doesn't have drains?

Is it a 2015? I heard that was a common problem. But they apparently fixed it for the 2016's.

Mines the same. I've washed it, had snow melt on top, splashes through puddles andd
    no leaks or drain problems.

It's a 2016. She had to have to Dawn of Justice version. Water just puddles in the channels for the front sliding top. The dealer said there were no drains, so how can this not be affecting everyone? If there is no drain the only way for water to get out of there is via "the law of momentum conservation"... hitting the brakes or taking a turn fast enough for the water to slosh out. The wife is so pissed about it she wants to sell.

I'll take my roof off after work today and see if I can help you out.. I highly doubt they'd forget drains on something like this

Sorry to threadjack, but was the Renegade from the movie featured other than in the opening scene darting around Metropolis during the Superman vs baddie opening battle?

So I took my roof off, and I don't know where it drains. I couldn't separate the seals in the cracks to look too well(probably cause black on black) I did notice water in the channel though and it looked still

Also no roof rails. Those are standard on the TH. They probably wanted some identifying badging, but didn't want to put a Batman vs Superman logo on it, making it look campy for the movie. The BvS is a Limited model, not based on the Trailhawk.

Hey Dudeman. I have 2016 Limited with the power mysky and side rails. I have the same exact problem, you are not alone in this.

I've had it for about 3 weeks and opened the windows after a day of raining and in came the flood. After inspection I think this is an oversight in design with models that have the mysky.

Looking forward to an answer as well! It seems like every time I wash my Renegade I forget about this "feature". I get everything nice and clean and finish drying it off, and when I take a spin around the neighborhood dirty water gushes all over the place at the first stop sign.

Hi everyone! I just received some clarification--thanks for hanging on.

The design of the MySky is such that the ceiling system is SUPPOSED to divert the water away from the opening. What I can suggest if it is not doing so is to have your Jeep dealership do a thorough check of the MySky/ceiling system to make sure there is nothing clogged or improperly installed that would cause it to drain inside the vehicle.

The issue isn't that it's draining inside the vehicle (At least for me and other I've spoken to.). It's that the water collects up top and then just sort of pukes it all over the windshield and exterior of the vehicle the first time you come to a stop, or in through the windows if you have the windows rolled down. Pretty inconvenient if you've just washed and dried your Renegade!

Wait wait wait this whole thread is about water getting on the windshield? Not the inside?

Well, it could get inside if you have your window rolled down when it gushes out when you come to a stop. Either way, sort of a poor design choice to have a roof that collects and holds water without draining off on it's own.
