Have a latitude w the limited 18s. Proving to be the hardest spare wheel to find in history. Just want steel tire or something and have zero experience finding this although ive been cross referencing like a boss. I have tires. 18 x 7.5 5x110

I would consider dropping down to a 17" wheel in the near future just for the sole fact of there is more tire sizes available and different wheel designs as well. Hope you found what you were looking for

I'm running 17" wheels that came with our Trailhawk and now looking to see if I can get a set of 16" wheels to fit. At the tire sizes we run on the Renegade, you have the MOST tire options with a 16" wheel. Only problem is that the brake caliper up front is really close to the wheel as is on a 17" and I'm not sure a 16" will fit.

You think wheel spacers or a wheel with enough bs would help clear the caliper?

Is this obvious? I have an 18. Is a 16 better off road? Or is it more of a more rim more opportunity to damage sort of thing? Came w 18s. So im not goin to change. But in future.

It isn't so much that a 16" wheel is better off road than there are just so many more tire options available in that size.

As far as puncture-ability do u think having a bigger rim protects the tire better at all?

No. If anything, too little sidewall can lead to a pinch tear. A larger wheel and very little sidewall is only really beneficial for pavement use.
