The 40-42 inch lightbars use the roofrails as mounting points, so they fit between the rails. My 50 inch is sitting across the top of the windshield and spans the entire length, my mounting brackets are secured to the door jams. My mounts are based on these Rough Country mounts. My Sport didn't come with roof rails and my roof rack solution would sit the lightbar back quite a bit. Not too mention, most everything I have done so far has been a little different than what everyone else is doing.
