I know worthless without pictures. But, I decided before I lift the Renny, I want better drivability. So I'm reluctant to use the term "performance"because getting power out of the 2.4 is laughable. But I can improve shifts, throttle, etc which will remove sluggishness and firm up shifts and increase responsiveness.

I'm picking up my Renegade at the end of the week (hopefully). I originally was going to go with the 1.4T, since i'm coming from an Abarth and i thought it would be something familiar, but since this was supposed to be a more practical car than the Fiat, I decided to go with the 2.4 to get the automatic transmission. I'm familiar with Madness and the work they do for Fiats. Do you know what the GoPedal exactly does on these cars? I know on the Abarth it helped with throttle response. Is it basically the same with the Renegade? Will it help with some of the sloppiness and confusion that I felt in the automatic when test driving?

Yes you are dead on with the Go Pedal. Exactly what it does. Three setting: eco, sport and aggressive I believe.

I ordered the Madness GoPedal and ended up returning it. It give better throttle response at the cost of about 3 mpg in my case. IMO the pedal is not worth $300. Maybe $100-$150 but $300 is too much.

I have to agree on the pricing. This is one of those things that I may get when I suddenly have an extra $300 to spend and can't figure out what to do with it.

The only real gripe i have with the Renegade is the horrid pedal/throttle lag.
Even the "universal" electronic throttle controllers are all up in the $200-$250+ range.
