    Hi Everyone,

There's a lot of talk about the Renegade lifts, and I wanted to share my experience installing the DAYSTAR 1.5" lift at home on my 4x4 6SPD Latitude.

First off the kit is very real and the end result looks great and performs well enough. The kit comes with very thorough instructions so anyone with the right tools and enough patience could install it, all by themselves for that matter. The components however are pretty budget and I think the install would have been easier if DAYSTAR took a little more time to plumb pieces and provide nicer nuts and bolts. There was some forcing of parts involved and I ended up replacing some sway bar nuts for locking ones since they came loose after hard off-roading.

All in the kit works and gave me the clearance to install 29.2" tire on the vehicle bringing the total clearance to around 10.5" which is great!

    Please feel free to comment.

Haha! They were 1/2" fine threaded I'm pretty sure. You'll need 4.

Any pics? How do you find performance before/after the upgrade to larger, heavier ATZ tires?

Can you post some more pictures? What tires are you running? Have you taken the latitude off roading -- if so, are you just relying on the factory tow eyes in the event of getting stuck?

I was thinking about these too, may throw them on a set of cheap steel wheels for next winter, just not sure if they would fit without a lift or spacers.

They'll fit without a lift or spacer. Ive had them on my renegade since the week I bought it. Theyre only slightly larger than the stock 215/65r16.

    Matt S-C, Jamessobo,

Are you running 87 or 91 octane in your 1.4?
