Has anyone disassembled their steering wheel? I want to add the cruise control module but not sure how to go about doing it
Haven't tackled that yet. Waiting for warmer, drier weather so i can contort my fat self around everything without the added bulk of winter clothing.
anybody have any knowledge of installing the speed control SWITCH. Speed Control. Part Number: 5VE32LXHAA and wiring harness WIRING. Export. Steering Wheel. Part Number: 68275241AA anyone try this yet?
I would be surprised if anyone has tried, simply because the vehicles are new enough that people haven't needed to fix existing ones, and most people have bought what they wanted instead of buying without and trying to add the feature. In the past this would have been a fairly easy thing, you'd add the control, the wiring, and the module at the throttle-plate. Unfortunately these are drive-by-wire, so the control, the wiring, and the computer's willingness to accept input from the control to then regulate vehicle speed are in-play. If the computer won't acknowledge the control then it doesn't matter how much physical stuff you wire-in, it's simply not going to operate.
