We're coming up on 10,000 miles. The owners' manual calls for the cabin air filter to be changed at this point. Decided to look at what this entails. Youtube shows us that there are around a dozen fasteners, removing the glove compartment, unhooking wiring, pulling some carpet, and hopefully not damaging the plastic dash housings or the connector socket. Really? Disassembling the dash every 10,000 miles for the cabin air filter? How long is the dash supposed to last if we do this?
Must be a Chrysler throwback... I've had four Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep vehicles with the same setup. It's not as hairy of an escapade as it sounds. Sent from my SM-T810 using ToasterJeep mobile app
Isn't this something that you have to get a certified mechanic to perform? Like for warranty purposes?
Nah, you can do it, or when you get your oil done... It's for pollin and dust reduction in the cabin of your vehicle. Sent from my SM-G920T using ToasterJeep mobile app
