Hello all, I have a question regarding a thumping sound that I notice when going over uneven or rough roads. It's not super loud but definitely noticeable when my radio is at a moderate level. I have the Daystar lift installed and I am not sure if this has anything to do with it but I am wondering if there are any common issues to look for that could contribute to this sound. I read a thread that indicates it could be related to the exhaust hangers having too much play in them but I have not had a chance to see if this is the case. It annoys me so I thought I'd check to see if anyone else has any insight. Thanks.
First place I would look is that aftermarket suspension. Make a note if you can tell any direction that it seems to be coming from and start with that corner. I don't have an aftermarket suspension on mine but I watched some installation videos and there's enough involved that it could easily be that.
Most of my thumps seem to be because of the lift... check your front sway bars I had mine come loose and I need to recheck them now as I'm starting to hear a rattle from up there with the new tires... Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Thanks for the input guys. I'll check know out those things. We're supposedly getting more snow this weekend so it might be a bit to check. Sent from my SM-G920V using ToasterJeep mobile app
