For those that have gotten wider tires than stock, how are they wearing. Just researched the heck out of this and our renegades come set up with negative camber to aide in roll over prevention. The problem with getting wider tires is it exagerates the camber and causes the wider tire contact patch to move to the inside of the wider tire causing uneven wear. Can anyone who has wider tires take photo of your tires from the rear so we can see how they are wearing? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Thanks for the photo. I'm contemplating going to 215/70/16 from 225/70/16. Do you think that 10mm will make a difference or just leave them & rotate more often? Thanks

Thanks. Last question, should I expect the same length of wear? For example a 50K tire should still get close to that if rotated regularly?

You'd have to compare it to almost the same setup to get real world estimates. As far as a stock vehicle or close to it running a slightly larger tire, it will wear based on rotation habits, alignment or lack thereof, PSI, driving habits, roads travelled, etc. I personally have BFG KO2s with about 6500 miles, no alignment done, and off-roaded twice. My rear camber has looked better, but no real wear has shown up. I am a slightly aggressive driver, I have broken the inside tire loose more than once on a few corners, for example. And I've also aired down on my last 2 off road trips.. No irregular wear. I balance and rotate myself every 5k~ My Yokohama ATSs I had 10k on when I took them off, mainly on road with those (1trip off-road) and they seem to have worn faster, probly due to more road miles and I did drive those harder than my BFGs. Tire construction can cause different wear issues as well. H rated Yoko at 35 lbs hits the ground differently than a BFG @ 33 lbs.
Thanks for your reply Jason. ill just rotate no more than every 5K & see how it goes. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
