I just installed the avid 2.5 inch lift. I still need to get an alignment and I saw TD has some 225/65r17 Yokohama geolandar at g015 tires. I’m curious if I go with the slightly larger tires, if I’ll still be able to use the spare if I get a flat. If not, will the Yokohama fit in the spare tire place? Last question, will the larger tires throw off any sensors?

    thanks

The Yokohama G015 tires are very popular with Renegade owners. If you get a flat you should be ok to temporarily drive with the original spare but it probably would not be that good for long term driving. The 225/65/17's should fit ok in the wheel well. As far as sensors you might notice a little difference in your odometer reading. The G015 is a good choice.

That size should fit in the spare tire spot no problem. The larger tires won't "throw off any sensors" in the sense that the car won't really care, but the speedometer will be off slightly based on your factory tire size. I'm running 255/75r16 which ends up being a little bigger than the tire you are looking at. When my car thinks I'm going 60, I'm actually going 65ish.

My BFG KO2, 225/65/17's fit in the spare tire well.
    ... tight, but fit.
