Uconnect reboot and gps update

    I've run out of options here. I've tried/done everything you have said, and it will not let me upgrade. All I get is "File not supported" - I'm out of warranty, and I can't afford to bring this to the dealer

    The bad part is, your only option is to take it to the dealer because it requires a 2 part update so that your Uconnect can read the new file system.

    The other bad part is, only half of the dealers are capable or willing to perform the update.
    Because it is a 2 part update, and Uconnect REFUSES to release it to the public, most dealers are too lazy to follow the directions which requires an update to 17.43.01 or 18.01.35, so that the file system update will allow for the current software update to 18.45.01, whatever it is up to now.

    Only the dealers have access to the older software necessary to update the file system.

    Attached are the directions (This is the TSB From Dodge) to perform the update. If you print it out and give it to them, MAYBE they will do the update correctly. The one in Sonora, California was still unable to figure it out even with the directions in hand...

    Just to see if any one out there got a fix to this since it looks like there is nothing I can do, by the way I'm kind of worse off than any of you cause my wife's Jeep is in software version 15.21.37. Now I'm no dummy, well verse in auto mechanics and have a masters in IT. This sucks my wife loves her Jeep and I hate it just as much, nothing but trouble from the beginning when she bought the Limited version of the 2016 model. I've read all the posts on this thread and feel like I need to take a sledge hammer to it, but the wife would not be happy if I do that. Thanks in advance for any help any of you can provide. Oh, and yes I did give everything you guys tried, EVERYTHING! Have a nice day.
