On my stock latitude I was running 235/70/16 BFG’s with no spacers or lift and had no rubbing even at full turn.

For the 235/65 R17 you need to do the mod. But the 235/60 R17 is still a 28 inch tire, just wider

well I'll eat my words, and I do appoligize, I was wrong. There are a few people that have had luck fitting a 235 with no rub.
Kinda gives me hope because i have been bouncing back and forth between BFG KO2 and Geolander GO15 in 225/65R17, but I can get Firestone Destinations in a 235/65R17 for less than the GO15 and it's a tire I really like If all I need to do is mod the pinch Weld in the front to run the 235/65, I'm laughing

Hey guys! I've been planning a build for some time now but I'm deciding to go with a 'no-lift' build for now due to the fact that a mopar specialist telling me that a lot of my warranties may be voided if I lifted the Renegade. Anywho, I'm planning to get 16 inch rims with some all terrain or mud terrains. Is it confirmed that the biggest size our trailhawks can go (without mods or lift) is a 235/65 ?? How do you guys think a 245/65/16 will fit? Or how about a 245/70/16 ???

I'm having 235/70/R16's Toyo Open Country ATII's installed this Saturday. I spoke with an expert at the Town Tire central location in CT and he said that this is as large that you can go without ant rubbing. I've verified this online.

Ive been running the exact same tire and size for over a year. You will be fine with no spacers but will get slight rub with spacers. Enjoy, as this tire is damn near perfect!!

Yep, I just got KO2's in that size installed. My 1" spacers made it rub just slightly, about 1/8", Did a modified pinch seam mod, only ground down about 3/16" so I could heat the wheel well liner to push it in. Have 3/8" clearance at full lock now.

Thanks guys for the advice. My original plan was to go with 245/70/16's with 16x8 rims that have 4.5 inch backspacing and 0 offset. Then I was going to have 1 inch spacer/adapters since the rim's bolt pattern is 5x4.5 and ours are 5x110. Would you guys recommend I go with the exact same set up but change the tire size to 235/70/16? To eliminate the fact that I have to cut pieces out of my car, I would definitely do it. Do you guys think my setup would rub still? Without modifications.

I can confirm that a Trailhawk is able to fit a 205/80/16 with no rubing on completely stock suspension.
