I have a 2017 DesertHawk with the 9 speed automatic, and a few months ago an occasional click or two would happen when I was accelerating and I didn't think much of it and just ignored it.
everything started happening "before" I lifted it, just wanted to point that out.
But now, putting the selector into drive a low hum whirring sound starts but goes away when I start accelerating, but around 15 to 25 mph, that is when the clicking starts, it sounds kind of like one of these

and it will keep going until I get to around 70 mph it probably keeps going but wind and tire noise probably just drown it out. I have gone a steady 50 mph and put the transmission into neutral and the clicking went away and of course putting it back into drive it immediately came back. Slowing down or coasting it actually almost gets louder then when accelerating.

I took it to the dealer I bought it from and they told me the noises were normal, without as much as a ride along test drive to hear it for themselves. What the heck could be going on? reading other threads here it seems like it could be a loose muffler vibrating, a bad transmission, a bad rear diff, a bad engine mount, or according to service writers it could be my imagination.

on a different note, I have the MySky panels with the powered sunroof option and the thin rubber weather stripping fell off, just fell off for, what seems to be no reason. I have tried probably 5 different industrial adhesives and nothing will stick to the fiberglass/ Kevlar that the rubber strip was originally adhered to. How in the heck do I get that to re stick so I can get rid of the nasty whistling because of that gap?

Update. The dealer I bought my renny at looked it over and said there was nothing wrong with the shafts and claimed the entire drive train was A-OK and the grinding/whirring sound was "normal" and the clicking was a loose wiring harness? Cant say as I ever heard of a loose wiring harness sounding like metallic clicking before and only while in drive too, and if that were the case they did nothing to secure the supposed loose harness. it's starting to sound like my transmission is shot and the dealer is doing everything in their power to completely ignore it. From what I have been hearing here and on other forums as well as various complaint boards Jeep needs to do a recall on the automatic 9 speeds.
