I've had my 2017 Renegade for a while now and something keeps bothering me. It relates to the overhead light compartment in the front interior of the vehicle. This compartment feels and sounds hollow... However, to my knowledge this isn't for storage and there's no easy way to open it. I've seen other cars use this for sunglasses storage, but there appears to be no way to open this compartment on the Renegade. I guess there's probably just wires and a lot of empty space in there? Anyone know what's in there? Maybe someone made a video where they disassemble it? Or, better yet, a third-party replacement that is smaller or more useful? Not even sure what the official name for the part is, so hard to find info.
