I have a 2017 Trailhawk with BFG KO2's 225/65 R17's on stock Trailhawk wheels no lift or spacers. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on wheels that would fit without a lift or spacers with the current tire setup. I was looking into steel wheels as well.
I can't help with your request but welcome to the forum. There is a lot of great info here and it should't take long to get an answer.
W E L C O M E ! ! ! to the forum. The BFG KO2's 225/65 R17 on your 17X6.5 inch rim with 40mm offset is about as big as you can go without rubbing. You could go as far as a 17X7.5 with a 30mm offset. Any more then that you will run into rubbing issues at about 3/4 turn. Things to look for when making a tire/wheel change. back spacing and tire height. How close the tire is to the lower spring mount perch on the inside of the tire. If you are going to go with a taller tire, you have to push the wheel out to clear the spring perch. either by reducing the offset (the lower the number, the farther out it pushes out the tire), or by adding a spacer. When you reduce the offset or add wheel spacers, the amount of space you have between the rear of the front tire and the fender liner at 3/4 to full turn is reduced.
