I've run out of options here. I've tried/done everything you have said, and it will not let me upgrade. All I get is "File not supported" - I'm out of warranty, and I can't afford to bring this to the dealer
W E L C O M E ! ! ! ... to the forum. The bad part is, your only option is to take it to the dealer because it requires a 2 part update so that your Uconnect can read the new file system. The other bad part is, only half of the dealers are capable or willing to perform the update. Because it is a 2 part update, and Uconnect REFUSES to release it to the public, most dealers are too lazy to follow the directions which requires an update to 17.43.01 or 18.01.35, so that the file system update will allow for the current software update to 18.45.01, whatever it is up to now. Only the dealers have access to the older software necessary to update the file system. Attached are the directions (This is the TSB From Dodge) to perform the update. If you print it out and give it to them, MAYBE they will do the update correctly. The one in Sonora, California was still unable to figure it out even with the directions in hand...
Just to see if any one out there got a fix to this since it looks like there is nothing I can do, by the way I'm kind of worse off than any of you cause my wife's Jeep is in software version 15.21.37. Now I'm no dummy, well verse in auto mechanics and have a masters in IT. This sucks my wife loves her Jeep and I hate it just as much, nothing but trouble from the beginning when she bought the Limited version of the 2016 model. I've read all the posts on this thread and feel like I need to take a sledge hammer to it, but the wife would not be happy if I do that. Thanks in advance for any help any of you can provide. Oh, and yes I did give everything you guys tried, EVERYTHING! Have a nice day.
Hi Eoseitz, I am running into the exact same issue with my 2016 Renegade Trailhawk. I'm currently on UConnect Software Version: 18.37.31 and trying to install the 18.50.35 update, but keep getting the "Error: Failed to authenticate .iso". I've gone through all the troubleshooting here, talked with 2 separate uconnect reps (who had fewer suggestions than what was on this forum), and messaged Jeep Cares who walked me through the additional step of a soft reset to no avail. All of them end with "Take it to the dealership." That's going to be a load of money for a software update that I'm supposed to be able to install for free . . . and I'm not confident they will fix it. Did you ever resolve this issue with your 2016 TH?? Thanks, Dave
2022, anyone got a fix for this yet? I've got a 2017 Renegade Deserthawk with uconnect 6.5, running ver. 17.07.46 maps 9.10.32.683155 uConnect site give me a download for UCONNECT_RA4_18.50.35_BU_MY15-17 but the instructions link is broken Tired of this damn GPS Nav showing my route as if I'm in a plane flying over water
