Steer clear of anything made my Teraflex that can make you DEAD if it fails. Suspension and such. Terrible design and quality control.

This. I've seen the same scenario play out in most of the vehicles I've owned and modded. The key is to determine where the platform overlap is, and how much is truly unique to the vehicle. From there it helps a manufacturer figure out how many and the type of buyers they have out there to market to. Then it's a matter of figuring out if they can sell enough volume at a price point that generates the sales necessary to recoup R&D, manufacturing, warranty and return costs and then still make some profit on them.

Fortunately, the Renegade isn't on a platform unto itself, and being global helps the numbers if a vendor is thinking that way. If we can help vendors figure out what components are shared across vehicles we have a better chance of getting aftermarket pieces being manufactured. With the research I've done so far, I'm seeing a lot of this already.

I have to agree. I just had my lift kit installed by an off road specific shop here in the Detroit area that was booked a month out, and mine was the first Renegade they've worked on. I think even the off roaders who would buy a Renegade are pretty happy with the Trail Hawk, otherwise they'd just buy a Wrangler. We're definitely in the minority.

Same here, I checked with the local 4wheel parts and the shop that did mine and neither have ever touched a Renegade for anything. Both of these shops do a ton of wranglers and trucks every day.

Just throwing this out there in regards to other companies. Check out madness autoworks.com. They own a couple of renegades, 2wd and 4wd, and are working on a 2 inch lift. They have various other upgrades as well.

Do they have a Trailhawk? 4x4 doesn't mean it will fit a Trailhawk. The front arms were maxed out with the Daystar lift. How are they planning to fit more in? So it's just for sport, latitude, and limited?
