This is the second oil change I have done on my Limited 4x4 2.4 and to get the oil to the max full mark it appears to take 6 quarts? In some of the how to posts on oil changes they say 5.5 quarts. Also in the manual it states 5.5 quarts. I recall in some manuals for other cars it states the oil capacity and then says some lightly larger amount of oil with filter replacement. I don't think any one wants to start off at 1/2 a quart low after an oil change? Any one else notice this?

I doubt they're counting the prepping of the filter. Idk really but when my stepdad and I did oil on his Subaru we set the filter in oil to pre load it before inserting it into the car

I also filled the new filter with oil before installing but it doesn't hold much.

I guess I'm the only one that is that particular about oil level.

My Trailhawk also took 6 quarts to get it to the full line on the dipstick, with a filter change.
