Coasting

    Has anyone else experienced that when foot off accelerator and going down hill or coasting it seems the transmission is out of gear and kinda like coasting but when you touch the accelerator again everything seems to be in gear as usual.

    Place in manual mode and see if it's blinking if it isn't an issue with the electronic control module for your transmission

    I thought our cars did that on purpose to save gas mileage

    If it's blinking there is a fault in the transmission

    No vehicle kicks into neutral down hill, it is considered to be an out of control vehicle banned by D.O.T
    Also it could damage your trans when you rein gauge

    Thank you...It just seemed to be "free wheeling" and I didn't know if something was up with the trans. knowing they have had issues with these 9 speeds.
