    Can anyone explain why Jeep isn't planning to sell the renegade with a diesel motor option in North America?

    lol in all seriousness they really should. they know how successful diesel is over in Europe so there really should be more of a push for it here as well. the MPG benifits and power benifits are worth it.

    It would be such a great platform for a diesel in this part of the world.

    It really is crazy how much FCA is gunshy about diesel in anything other than their RAM trucks. I just don't get it. Of course, there might be other things going on that I don't know about.

    What's the smallest diesel they fiat has, 2.8? The torque would probably tear the frame in half.

    Depends which type of "vehicle" Frame would be torn in half. ;)
