I don't know if this has always happened or not but I noticed that after locking the Rene with the key fob, I can still open the door. I have the switch blade fob and no button on the handle. After some time I came back to check the door and it was locked. I think there is a delay from when you lock the Jeep to when the alarm actually arms, during that time you could still unlock the driver door to get back in without using the fob?... Can someone try this on theirs and see if it does the same? I know the doors are "locking" because I see the button lock on the inside when you lock from the fob. Also right after you lock it I can't open any of the other doors, just the driver side. This could be normal and just haven't noticed it...
This happened to me, took it back to the dealership and they said it needed a system upgrade. It works just fine now.
Good to know thanks. Seems like It only does it when it gets real cold. Sounds like a weak lock solenoid. I'll have them do their "upgrade" when I do my next oil change
