The dealership near me finally has one in! 1427558419382.jpg
I hope to test drive it later today. My first impressions are that I hate the color. Im not sure of its the same tan thats on the JKs but I will not buy that BU. Secondly, it is really nice and roomy inside except for whatever material is on the seats. My 6' frame fits inside nicely. I am looking forward to test driving it later.

Welp sitting at the dealership waiting for it to get back from a test drive. I had forgotten how much I hate this particular dealership....

Test drive complete! I loved it.
Visibility is great compared to my current DD. The acceleration and gas mileage are great. And it is very comfortable in general. I cant wait to get one.

Glad to hear you liked the test drive. We're still on our way home and are really enjoying our Renegade :)

I'll agree with you the color is not attractive. But I still love that little toaster.

Thanks! We're rearing to get at least a set of better tires installed. Unfortunately, that would also mean we'll most likely have to get a new set of 16" wheels as well. Also looking at ways to get it on some kind of small budget boost. Of course, being that there's ZERO aftermarket support available at this time, we'll most likely have to get creative :)

So, how about you? Still thinking about getting one?

Absolutely! I'm working up a plan to pay off the JK and get one by the middle of next year. Sadly, it will mean that I'll have to put the JK's mods on hold but I'm confident it will be worth it.

Honestly, with the amazing amount of room it has, we'll probably take the Renegade over the JK when we go anywhere as a family. Providing there aren't any wheeling opportunities at the destination. ;)

Awesome! I think these Renegades will make great road trip rigs that you can also do a bit of exploring in as well. Can't wait till you can get yours.

Maybe its me, but I actually like the real world color of that Mohave Sand version shown above compared to what is shown on the Jeep website. Although my favorite is White, Blue or Orange.

Couldn't agree more. In person, it does look good but on the Jeep website, it kinda looks like baby poo :)

I wonder if the colors change under certain street lights.
I remember a while back in Kona, Hawaii, I parked the rented red wrangler in the mall lot in the late afternoon. When I got out it was dark and I couldn't for the life of me find the vehicle. I didn't memorize the license plate and since there are usually 7 wranglers out of 10 vehicles out there), I actually had to have a few locals help me find it and I was this >< close to calling the cops thinking the vehicle was stolen. Come to find out the wrangler was in front of me all that time but since under the lights, the color had turn to grey. In fact most of the wranglers had turned to grey. lol So since then I've learned to 1-memorize the license plate of a rented vehicle and 2-remember what the color the vehicle is in both day and night lights. So yeah, seeing a vehicle color in person is best. One can't rely on the colors on the website.
