Hi there! Just bought a Renegade last week. I had a Jeep LONG ago, and now I'm back to the brand with this (too?) civilized version.
Here in Argentina we get the Renegades from Brazil, these are surprisingly well made, at least from the perceived quality/materials aspect. Unfortunately we only get a couple of versions with standard kit fit, no extra options. We get the Sport, a made-up middle version "Sport Plus" (which is the one I got) and Latitude. Sports are FWD and have a small 1.8 Fiat engine which lacks balls in the lower end of the revs. The Latitude has the 2.4 but it costs a whopping 60% extra!
I got it in Carbon black, nice color, obviously black, but with metallic specks, which make it look nice under bright light. I'll post a picture when I get it back. Yes... it's already back at the dealer :(
The moment they handed the Jeep a very clear "Check airbags" message appeared in the cluster! The dealer tried to rush me, but I insisted on getting it checked before taking it home. They took it to the shop and 10 minutes later it was back, no more warning... Driving home the warning returned! and stayed there (checked the most obvious things like the plugs under the seats). They just cleared the code, not really doing anything, so today went back. Hope it's just a minor hiccup and not the 1st of a series of electrical gremlins.
