I recently got my 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk shipped to me in Italy out of a year long storage while I was in Korea. I of course had to replace the battery right away due to it being completely dead and unable to hold a charge. Now every time I open the door with the key fob on my person the horn beeps one time. It had been a year since driving it but I don’t remember this happening before it went into storage. I have tried turning all of the locking and horn options off on the Uconnect menu and still no luck. I tried to talk to the local dealership here but due to my inability to speak Italian it didn’t go well. So my first question is, does everyone’s Renegade do this? My second question is, if it doesn’t, any idea how to fix it? Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.
have you checked the battery in your key fob? I'm not sure about Jeep's but some cars will do that to let you know the battery in the fob is low.
