I too was very surprised about the price of the Renegade especially the trailhawk. Here in the uk the Trailhawk will cost £27,795 compared to a wrangler jku at £31,580. Horses for courses but what would you choose if you could only afford
    one ?

Depends on what you need or want more. The Trailhawk Renegade will give you a more comfortable vehicle and with more amenities but, the JK will be a better off road vehicle. Being that you're in the UK, I might think that the Renegade would still be a better buy.

True enough you may be right there.
I am looking forward to having a test drive, and I can fully evaluate the jeep:)
Like you said it is a fully equipped vehicle with more than enough cargo room and equipment to keep us all happy.
Have you decided on which model suits your needs best?

I really wanted a Trailhawk but having a hard time swallowing the high price tag. Being that I already have 2 built up JK's, I don't really need my Renegade to be a "hard core" off-roader but I still like the features that come with the Trailhawk - like the lower range crawl ratio, slightly taller stance, skid plate and greater approach and departure angles. If it came with a manual, I would get one for sure but because it doesn't here in the U.S., I'm having second thoughts. Even if I did get one, I would be getting rid of the wheels and replacing them with a set of 16" aftermarket ones so that I can run a more aggressive tire right away.

How about you? Still wanting a Trailhawk too?

Sounds good I cant wait to see it when you get it and offroad it.
As for me I do like the Trailhawk and the my sky roof.
But it may be me but I did not expect the cost to be so high?
I love my 09 jeep jk wrangler crd :)
So I will see how the test drive goes in a couple of weeks.
And I can make my mind up then.
You are so lucky to have the best of both worlds 2 incredible jks and a new Renegade on the way. Good luck to you;)
As for me it will be make your mind up time Wrangler or Renegade.
    I will keep you posted.

Im still leaning towards the Trail Hawk. Since Ill be daily driving it and stuck in traffic I want the auto (though I know that the pther models offer the auto). I will also happy take the BU over the JK to the easy trails that we have in VA. The Trail Hawk also looks the best and hopefully I wont get the itch to upgrade it. Lol

I'll second that the Trailhawk looks the best and with the factory lift and the rock crawling option on the dial.
I too would prefer the automatic transmission.
My jk is an auto and I love it. Do you have a colour in mind?

even if i could afford a trailhawk i would prob still go with the sport. i dont normally drive stick but i would on this one for the MPG benifits since it would be more of a DD than a wheeler.

I had initially pondered getting a sport, but there are a few options we want that are not available on the Sport. And the Sport doesn't seem to come standard with air conditioning and other basic things, that add to the cost. Plus the TH just looks so cool with it's bumpers, hooks, higher suspension, and wheels/tires. I still want to see what the preferred pricing on the invoice is that I can get with Tread Lightly.

TL is good pricing, but with a little research you can often negotiate even lower. Spend some time looking to see what dealer incentives are for this vehicle. With a new release and Jeep wanting a hit, Im sure the factory will be incentivizing.

I called the dealer yesterday and was told they will have late march to early april deliveries. Im thinking of pre-ordering a trail hawk.

Man, I really want to order one up too but, I really want to test drive a Latitude with a manual before I do.
