Congratulations and good luck with you Renegade from a fellow New Englander. It looks like the kayaks are set up for fishing, fresh or salt or both?

I do both. Nothing beats getting dragged around from a big striper!!
I mainly stick to fresh though. I'm up by the Ma. Line so it's kind of a haul to get to the coast.

I know what you mean by getting dragged around by a big striper, my cousin was dragged almost 3 miles in Narragansett Bay 2 years ago by a striper that he estimated at 55-60 pounds ( the striper had the advantage of the outgoing tide). He said the striper was about 4 feet long, the bass just wouldn't give up. Heck I just about got knocked off my feet on dry land when a 50lb striper grabbed the live eel I was fishing with so I can imagine what it must be like in a kayak. A big striper hits like a train.

    Enjoy your Renegade.
