The last oil feed tube in existence is on my Renegade at a dealer in Vegas and it leaks!! A week and a half and still haven't got the part!! Really??
Wow, that really sucks. Being so new and made in Italy, I guess parts are a bit harder to come by. Please keep us up to date.
Still nothing on my Renegade... Drove my wife's to California for the long weekend and it was amazing. I love these little things! Hopefully I get to bring mine home soon. Bordering on going mental...
It seems I have the same problem with my Latitude 1.4T. When I took it in for the first oil change they found a small leak on the feed pipe. It's been nearly two weeks and the part is still on backorder.
The service department called me today to let me know that the parts have arrived and I can pick my Renegade up tomorrow. He said they had put a "rush / customer vehicle down" addendum on the order, but the computer still showed a delivery date of November 10 when the parts showed up. So obviously the parts supply system is a mess. Also, apparently the turbo oil feed tube has to be replaced as a unit.
The dealership had mine a while as well. The regional manager for mopar had to get involved. You would think that an order of vehicles would be accompanied by an order of parts to repair them.
Agreed. I was wondering if the feed tube is exchangeable across vehicles..they've been selling Darts and 500 Abarths with the same engine for a couple years now. I was about ready to tell them to call up the Belvidere plant and get one from them!
That's what I asked the service manager. He had no idea. The rental was nice and free of charge. I just checked with them everyday until it was done.
My dealer gave me a loaner as well, a 200S fresh off the truck. It's a pretty nice car, not my style, but they did a nice job on it. With the Pentastar and the 9-speed it combines 295 horsepower with over 28mpg, mostly highway, over the two weeks I've been driving it.
I got the Renegade back yesterday, with new o-rings and gaskets at both ends of the oil feed tube. Also they discovered some seepage from the oil pan and resealed that as well.
