Hey guys I was wondering about installing a roof carriage system over a powered MySky roof. First of all will the roof carriage interfere with operation of the powered portion opening like a moon roof?

Second will the carriage system interfere with being able to take the panels out? I want to install a carriage system but don't want to interfere with the other aspects of my jeep.

If anyone has pictures of a carriage system with the powered MySky it would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to find some taller crossbars. There are plenty of threads on here for what people are using for crossbars. The low profile bars will not work with the MySky panels. And as far as removing the panels with the cargo rack installed will take some practice and maybe some help.

Looks good I like it. What carriage system is that? I wonder if they sell more streamlined bars ( ones that don't stick out as far as at).

Noise isn't too bad. Definitely some wind noise, but no whistling or anything. I can only hear it above 50.

    It's the Rola Vortex.

I just purchased Thule aeroblade edge crossbars with Thule canyon xt basket mounted via t track bolts. I have my sky and the power sunroof opens with 1/8" of clearance with how I have it positioned. You can barely see the edge of the basket with sunroof open. My question is bc I haven't had a vehicle with this setup before. There is a huge amount of wind baffling above 35mph. Very loud on the highway. Is this normal and can repositioning the basket/bars fix this? Thanks for the help.

Mine clear the sunroof just fine. I can get the other panel off, too... it just takes a little finagling.

Do you have a lot of wind noise? My basket sticks over the sunroof opening at most 6". It is loud with everything closed above 35. It's tight and secure. Just not used to this setup. I drive an f450 daily for work with a 10' box that makes less noise.

Repositioning might help some. My basket doesn't stick over the sunroof and I don't notice it being that much louder than it was before. That said, it was pretty loud before with just the MySky open :).

I appreciate the help. I will see what moving it will do. My crossbars are 10" back from the back of the front pocket and as far back in the back pocket as you can go. Roughly 36" spread. Im out of town or I would upload a picture.
