PROBLEM. ELECTRONIC BRAKE SYSTEM

    I got my jeep renegade limited at the dealer in Manchester in May 2015. About 5 days ago, after being at work for the whole day, when I got back to my car, there is a sudden red signal light pop up, and the dash board said check electronic brake. Therefore, I tried to release it manually and also try to mobilise the car. Unfortunately, it did not work. I called the jeep roadside assistance straight away.

    The service is great, the agent came really quickly. He did release it, but from then I cant put the electronic brake back on manually without turning the car off. The red light was still on at that time. The agent then sent my car to the dealer on Friday. Took half if my day.

    They got me a skoda as courtesy car. I got a call from dealer yesterday said that my car has no hardware issues with the brake anything. They found software problem. They have now to communicate with jeep italy technical department to sort the isaue out, but they said they dont know how long it will take. Can be up to a month, which meana i have drive this skoda for a month. Hate it to the max!!!!

    I paid so much for a car. I felt this depleted my trust and driving experience with jeep. Problem with brake can be potentially dangerous. I only owned the car for 4 months, and it already has technical issues!!!!!!!!!!!! I think they should think about the problem and probably do some call backs, it is not the software for playing songs, its software for the freaking BRAKE!!!!!!!!

    It has been nearly a week. What can i do? Thanks

    Well that must have been a frustrating experience for sure. I have not seen or heard of this before and hope that your incident was just a fluke. Hope they can get it fixed for you and soon.
