Has anyone considered a size bigger in the rear since you dont need the side clearance for turning?

Wouldn't that make for an akward ride? Also more difficult to buy tires?

In theory, but imo it would confuse your ABS, and who knows how many problems that would cause.

4WD vehicles need the same size tire in all four corners.

Looking at the thread, It seams that bigger may have two meanings, bigger-taller and bigger-wider. I was wondering the same thing. I'm no expert but I would think that if the tires are different heights, then it would have some issues, but what about wider tires in rear? Does anyone know if wider tires in the rear will that cause problems?

Despite tires being marked as "31" high they really aren't, some are a bit shorter, some a bit taller. When you go to a tire with a different width, you are going to run into these variations.

Make it easy, keep it simple. Same tire on each corner for 4WD & AWD
