Anyone seen this? Apparently Jeep built a single Renegade based Commanche as a prototype. http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/this-would-be-the-2016-jeep-comanche-1764032656
I just don't see it. A jeep based Truck would be nice, but If / When it happens ( and it is slated to happen in 2018/19 if I recall the info correctly), it will probably be Wrangler based - off the New JL platform ! Big enough and not too big to be useful Off Road !
After watching a YouTube video on it, they claim it has a 2" lift and 32" tires, which appear to be BFG KO2s. Anybody know what size they would have to be to be 32" tires? Also, im sure its the DayStar lift they are using on their other vehicle concepts.
Nope I didn't see that anywhere when I was poking around. I didn't see anything really about having to modify it to clear the wheels & tires, they just kind of skipped over that part of course. Doesn't surprise me though, especially on the front since its standard Renegade wheel openings. I did note however that in one video of it on a test drive the guy mentioned that you could hear the rear wheel rubbing against the actual bed. That wont hold up to much at all, because isn't the bed made out of basically plastic on the prototype?
