LOL!! Now that's funny but only because it's true. Okay, maybe it's just kind of sad and all the more reason why I want a Renegade and not a Cherokee.
Oh yeah, the Renegade at least looks like Jeep. That's always been my beef with the Cherokee - it's that it doesn't even really try. I still say that if the Cherokee was called anything else other than a Cherokee, it would have been better accepted by the Jeep faithful. Of course, I understand that Jeep wasn't trying to please the faithful - just garner new customers and I can appreciate that.
Thank you Overlander for the fantastic information. I have now definately leaning towards the Renegade. I was torn between the two and as always you come through and provided the much needed guidance.
I actually didn't like the looks of the Cherokee but I have seen a few around town and they aren't as bad as I thought. I still can't get used to the headlights though.
I think it depends on color. Every time I see one in Anvil, I think to myself, wow, that looks pretty good. And then, I see it in white or something more normal and I think, eh...
Also, when you look at the Renegade, it's hard not to see it like some kind of puppy. When I look at the Cherokee, all I see is a snake or angry Chinese guy.
