Does anyone have any pictures of a large rhino rack xtray on top of their Rene? I just got cross bras and trying to see if the large size would work up there.

You would have to ask Nina, I quoted her post from a different thread.

I don't have those exact bars or that exact rack but I do have crossbars and a full size rack. I drove for about two days before I put the rack on and once I hit about 45 the wind noise started pretty loud from the cross bars. As soon as I added the big rack all of the noise went away, i because so many pieces are now breaking up the wind. Even at 80, my set up is dead silent. Point is, when you add a rack, I don't think you'll have any sound issues whatsoever. I may be wrong for different set ups but my assumption is that they would all be the same experience.

ImageUploadedByToasterJeep1476900122.009435.jpg sound isn't too bad. A little of a gushing sound by no whistling. High enough to remove the my sky panels as well.

Curious what cross bars you have? I like the height and I would love to be able to remove my roof easily on a whim!

I put mine on today at lunch. I think I'm going to coat them in spray bedliner to make them black and flat. I think I need a wind fairing too.

The wind noise is rather unbearable. I don't keep them on anymore. I also have a frequent problem with the nut used to tighten them down. I have a habit of loosening them too much during removal and then spending the next 10 minutes fighting to find the nut and retread it properly. But it's a cheap solution for a reason. If anyone has suggestions on diffusing the wind I'd be happy to try it. Especially having a my sky roof equipped on my jeep.

Any luck with that? I've had my eye on a cheap one for the time being in hopes that would help. Eager to put the spare tire upstairs and free up all that space under the floor!

Try experimenting with placement, by moving my Megawarrior towards the rear of the vehicle 2 inches I achieved a drastic reduction in wind noise. I went from center of the roof rails to slightly rear and I'm considering moving back 2 more to see what happens... I used to have pronounced noise at 50 - 55 now it kicks in above 65.

I've found that something in the rack quiets it down, so a spare tire up there would gain room as well as diminish wind noise.
