Finally got a Saturday free to install my Avid Contour bumper.

It was touch-and-go for a while as I had to figure out how to remove the stock bits.

But now I go to install the new bumper and find that not only is the radiator support completely wrong, but even the bumper fit is unacceptable (thinking it's because of the different engine).

My only guess is that they sent me the parts/bumper for the smaller engine? (I have the 2.4L)

Here's a link to the pictures

Edit I should add that up to this point, I've been very impressed with their customer service. I suppose how this is handled will serve as a litmus test. I have a feeling that they will do good by me, and I hope I'm not wrong.

If anybody has contact info that will allow me to reach them on the weekend, I'd appreciate if you could pass that along to me.

Can’t edit on mobile, but I wanted to update.

Apparently there were some missing steps in the instructions. Looks like the installation will be smooth sailing now.

Big thanks to Viann with avid for helping me sort this all out.

Also, I’ll be posting a complete install video so people won’t encounter the same problems I have in the future.
