I've heard people say that the TH has a factory "lift", so I was wondering, when you put on a Daystar or G-force lift did you have to remove, or did you see, a "factory lift"?

Was there spacers on the shock towers already when you put on the after market lift? I have a Latitude and got to thinking maybe I could buy the oem TH lift from Mopar (?).

Or, does anyone know what makes a stock TH lift? Outside of larger diameter tires on the TH what makes it taller than a regular Renegade?

    Thanks

I believe it is the springs in the TrailHawk that provide the lift.

The Daystar lift will give you 1.5" of lift regardless of what model you put it on.

I looked into this once, compared parts from a TH to a non-TH. I believe the struts and springs are different to give the extra height in the TH

Does the Daystar lift actually give 1.5" of ground clearance or just lift the body?

The Daystar lift is not a body lift so it actually gives you additional ground clearance.

this thread has been here for a while, so perhaps some people with experience with both the Daystar lift, and G-force lift can answer my question.

I plan on lifting my Renegade Trailhawk, but I have not decided on which one to use. I like the idea of the 1.5" that the Daystar provides vs the 1" of the g-force. As does my wife, she thinks an extra 1/2 inch is nice to have.

But the G-Force also has a wheel centering kit. I'm curious if this is a necessary thing when installing the g-force lift, as Daystar does not offer a similar product. Or can you install it event thought you went with the Daystar lift?

Lastly, Madness Autoworks is about to release their 2" lift for the Renegade. Does anyone have some thoughts on that product?

If anyone can provide some insight, I would appreciate it.

The wheel centering kits are spacers to go behind the lca brackets. On the daystar kit the lca brackets are replaced with longer ones. Essentially the same. It all depends on how you want it built. Just remember that if it's primarily for looks, you'll suffer mpg loss, excess noise, loss of acceleration... with wheel-spacer,tire,lift upgrades.
