Need some help for tires, etc for my renegade TH before the snow really starts flying. I'd like to put some bigger tires that will be more helpful in snow up here. (2 huge hills either way I turn out of the driveway) I've got the stock 215/65/17 & would like to go to 235/65or75/17...so I need to get spacers, yes? Should I be looking at 1" or 1.25" 5X110mm bolt pattern?
What size rims? I'd rather come here to get info, because I'm getting all sorts of from non-renny people. One says it will fit, (for example...put 225's on my current stock rim) another one says no....aarrgghhh! When you invest $$ like this getting it right the first time around is vital, ya know? Tires narrowed down to 2, hankook or geolandar I think, lol. Thanks for any tidbits of tire knowledge you can send this way, its definitely appreciated! ;)

All the info you asked about is on this site...you just have to sift through it all to make an informed decision. What it will all boil down to is what will work best for your needs and how much money you're willing to spend. There's a few different routes you can go but you've got to do your own research to come to a happy decision. After spending hours of reading countless posts, looking at a multitude of tire and wheel examples, debating prices in my head, considering the level of safety I require, and the "look" I want, I've come to conclude that for me the best route would be to go with BFG KO2s in 225/65r17. Because I have a DoJ edition this means I must forsake the 18" stock wheels for a 17" aftermarket rim. I'll also add 1" wheel spacers. Given that you have a Trailhawk, however, you won't necessarily have to do this if you decide to keep your stock wheels. If I had a Trailhawk that's what I would do, and just put on the KO2s. But I am not you, and some of your goals might be different than mine, and your budget may not be similar to mine. So take advantage of the amount of info that's already available here on this site and other sites and then make your Renegade your own. Then post pics!!
