Just read the following article in Bloomberg and, much as I have been saying all along, they too believe that the Sub-Compact Crossover class of SUV's is about to explode. Of course, while they seem to think that Honda will take the lead with their upcoming HR-V, I strongly believe that the new Jeep Renegade will be the winner!

Well, I sure as heck would rather drive a Renegade than a Fiat 500 or a Mazda, or the Mini Countryman. Oh, and as much as I like driving my JK as my DD, gas+maintenance is for the birds! I want a Renegade.

IF the renegade hits the mark with mpg, it will have a big chance. All we see in our area is crossover AWD of 4wds. Most of these are Subarus because of the good mileage and AWD features

So far, Sergio Marchionne has done an excellent job of digging Chrysler out of the hole it was in and even more to build up its brands. Even Jeep only really started to take after he took over. I have no doubts that he aims to win and I have no doubts that this new Renegade will be a winner.

Well, I have no doubts that it will at least get 30 MPG and that alone will be enough to do the job. However, if they can do just a bit more, it'll be a big selling point.
